“You are unworthy! …of the loved ones you have betrayed.” Now, can I just talk about this for a moment? I always say how I have so many feelings for Thor as a film, right? Well, this is one of those moments why. After Odin’s line (above), it does not cut to a shot of Thor’s reaction to Odin’s words, it cuts to Loki. And you see this look on his face because he knows that he is the one that betrayed his loved ones. He knows it’s his fault that this is all happening. This is just a brilliant moment in this film, and such a wonderful choice by Ken Branagh. It’s foreshadowing without you even knowing that it’s foreshadowing. Brilliance. Brilliance in filmmaking right here. All the awards for Ken and for Tom, whose face here just absolutely breaks my heart. Via that place between sleep and awake
